There's the love stories you see in movies, where the prince comes along with his shining armor and sweeps the girl off her feet. Everything is perfect. They have the house, the money, the love and nothing could go wrong. You know what I'm talking about, we have all fantasized about it late at night while eating ice cream in our pjs; But then there is the real love, the one that takes you by surprise. The one where you find yourself longing for the happiness of your significant other and wanting to spend every minute by their side. That's exactly the kind of love I experienced first hand when I met Phillip and Kendall.

Phillip reached out to me with the idea of proposing to Kendall and surprising her in Mirror Lake on their trip to Lake Placid, NY. I, of course, jumped at the idea! We setup some hidden cameras at the dock and waited for them to arrive hiding behind Adirondack chairs. He was bringing her there with the excuse to take a selfie with the mountains in the background, and they did. Right in time for him to pop on one knee and ask her to be his wife. Little did I know they would inspire me so much to the true meaning of love. The way they looked at each other, the goosebumps l felt while hitting the shutter, the whole essence and feel of the moment. It was indeed, better than the movies.

It was the true love we are all looking to find, except much simpler, more real. One where we don't need all the fancy dresses and tiaras. One where we can really be ourselves.
