How do you photograph weddings?
I love being by your side to help you before your wedding day. I''ll spend some time with you creating a timeline to help you organize your day. It''s really exciting for me to receive photos of your dress, shoes, invites...! On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Lake Placid, New York and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. But no worries, I always try to find the cheapest way to come because I love the way my creativity is developed when I discover new places.
When will we get our photos?
We want to make sure we deliver the best version of your wedding photos. For this reason, we ask of you 6-8 weeks from the event date to deliver your online gallery.
How many pictures will we receive?
It depends on the wedding package you selected but typically for weddings we deliver between 400-1,000 images.
Do you allow dogs?
I love pets! As long as the venue allows, I would encourage you to include your doggy in your pictures.
what should i wear for my engagement session?
I encourage my couples to wear colors that complement each other. I would also recommend finding colors that suit the season! Nothing like a burnt orange during fall for example. We do provide outfit guides if you are interested!
do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicates, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. We don't expect you to have the time to zoom into each image to select the ones with the sharpest focus. With our experience of processing thousands of images each year, we may eliminate the ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver our best work.
do i have to order prints through you?
We highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints!
what is the online gallery that's included in the package?
The online gallery is a password protected online gallery from which you can view and print your photographs!
You can invite your friends and family to use the online gallery and they will be able to view or order prints as well
my venue is dark. Would this be an issue?
Not at all! I am comfortable with using flash and in fact, many of the venues and settings in the Adirondacks are very difficult to produce exceptional images without the use of flash. With my experience and ability l will be able to capture amazing images of your day.
Do you use any drone footage?
Yes, if weather permits we like to have both drone footage and images on our wedding days. Usually we would only use drone for images during the bridal photos. Please check with your venue to see if they allow drone usage on their property.
When will my wedding coverage start?
Typically for wedding videography and photography, your coverage will start 2-2.5 hours before your wedding ceremony. We recommend having your bridal and family photos taken before your ceremony to make better use of your wedding day and not worry about a timeline. In the winter we have much shorter days, so take that into consideration when planning a timeline. The sun in the Adirondacks sets much earlier than expected during those cold months.
